Steer wrestling is often known as the "big man's event" in rodeo. Besides
requiring brute strength, he must also understand the principles
of leverage.
Steer wrestling starts on horseback from behind a barrier after the
steer is given a head start. When the two cowboys catch up, the wrestler slides off his horse at top speed and grabs a hold
of the horns. Once on the ground, he plants his feet,
and wrestles it to the ground.
