Race horses! Powerful thundering excitement full speed ahead! This is my most challenging and ambitious drawing
yet, taking a little over 1000 hours to complete. It was a rewarding project from start to finish though.
I spent a lot of time at the horse races and was lucky enough to get right down inside the track where all the
action was at. I took hundreds of photos for reference material that allowed me to put together this race horse drawing.
Although difficult at times, this was a very exciting drawing to work on! I was constantly fascinated by all the different tones
and textures from the silk and shine of jockey attire to the horses gear and muscling. As I am a detail fanatic, there was
enough here to keep me chomping at the bit, so to speak, for many months!
