Throughout the year there are a variety of small birds, especially the house finch, playing on the branches of a locus tree right outside my window. A bird drawing was inevitable! The male and female look similar with the exception of the red markings on the male's head. This is actually a male. I had intentions of putting a touch of red on this bird with a colored pencil, but chickened out at the last minute. I may try this in the future :)
